SBI lunch timings
SBI has a lunch time from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. The staff goes for lunch during this hour. In some branches, the banking services continue even at lunch hour as the staff takes turns to go for lunch. The lunch timing may vary from branch to branch depending on the location.
SBI bank timings during the lockdown
Like all the other businesses and institutes, the banking sector was also severely affected by the covid 19 lockdown. However, it could not stop the bank from functioning. State Bank of India adjusted its operational hours. Most branches operated from 10 AM to 2 PM on weekdays (Monday to Friday). During this period, SBI branches generally remained closed on Saturdays. SBI NEFF transfer occurs every 30 minutes, operating around the clock daily. The transfer can be expected to credit within a 2-hour timeframe.
RTGS
This system of fund transfer enables real-time transfers. It is the quickest and most secured online money transfer method. However, RTGS transfers aren’t available from 11:50 PM to 00:30 AM daily. You can also note that the bank does not impose any transaction charges for transfers via the RTGS network.
IMPS
IMPS transfers operate 24×7, including holidays. Yet, to have access to this service, adding a beneficiary is necessary. Following are the points to be considered while adding a beneficiary:
- One beneficiary can be added per calendar day.
- The beneficiary list updates within 4 hours of requesting.
- Beneficiary addition timings: 6 AM to 8 PM.
- Activation post 8:00 PM occurs the following calendar day after 8:00 AM.
- A maximum of Rs. 10,000 can be transferred to the added beneficiary on the day of activation.
- After a 3-day cooling period post-activation, transfers up to Rs. 2 lakh are allowed via IMPS.
- There are no charges for inward transactions within the country. (Applicable to inward transactions).
- The full form of IMPS is Immediate Payment Services.
